Andrew James heads up Echelon Law’s Private Client Department which offers services including: Wills advice and preparation, Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPA), Probate and estate administration, the creation and management of trusts and wealth protection and Inheritance Tax planning.

With previous experience with Red Kite Law in Gloucestershire and Cardiff, and Cook & Co Solicitors in Clifton, Andrew takes the time to get to know his clients so that his service is tailored to achieve the best possible outcome for them. Guiding them through the process of planning for the future, using his expertise to minimise any potential tax liabilities, planning for future care needs and the possibility of mental incapacity.  He can also help them with their Will to ensure that all their wishes are carried out and their loved ones are looked after.

From smaller, modest estates to the largest estates worth millions of pounds involving business and agricultural assets, Andrew and his team can help.  His estate management experience allows him to provide a seamless service for Executors and the families of loved ones who have sadly passed away. Naturally driven, Andrew places importance on managing the process as efficiently as possible at what is often a difficult time for many people.

With two university degrees, Andrew completed the Legal Practice Course with distinction and is an affiliate member of STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners).

Outside of the office, Andrew is a Special Constable with the Gwent Police, a member of Business Beats Cancer Bristol and is First Aid qualified.
